Long time no post!

Hey guys,

I’m posting early since I have some time right now. Been super busy. Joined crew, 6 mornings a week I wake up around 4.30-5.30, my eye bags are so obvious… I’ve done one round of midterms, did better than I expected. Truly enjoying all my classes!

I think I like someone… But I don’t know if he feels the same. We hang out everyday and all but I really don’t know… No idea what to dooooo…… So lost 😦 But I’m just.. going with the flow? Haha. It’s such a step up from you-know-who. Idk.

Another note, I’M COMING HOME IN 2 MONTHS GUIZ. How time has passed… Anyone going to be in KL from Jan 3rd until 17th? 🙂

Fishes all to myself

Hiya, sorry I missed my post yesterday because mum left and I was too busy spring cleaning the apartment.

Some interesting things today is that I went to Melbourne Aquarium for the first time in my life! It was pretty good and I would actually go back there again if time allows. It was peaceful in there and you get to see happy kids with family running around shouting ‘DAD LOOK ITS A SHARK’ and so on. It somehow takes random things off my mind and I would recommend it if you’re a fan of the ocean/underwater world 🙂 Image

So, here are some pictures:

Oh and I got to touch the starfish!

Also, there’s a pretty nice view of the Yarra River from the inside of the aquarium

Now, ending my post with a failed/over-exposed polaroid of the outside of Melbourne Aquarium:

Ever Sutured?

Seeing that no one has been posting recently, I thought I might as well make up for the lack of posts. I mean, I could be blogging on my own blog but it’s too much trouble constantly logging in and out of different gmail accounts in order to write a simple post. Simple in my case is usually about a page long so it’s no easy task.

So my adventures for today involved visiting Alfred’s Hospital and attending a surgery Suturing Masterclass for pre-clinical and clinical Med students. MUSIG: Alfred Surgical Skills Workshop. It was so exciting and definitely worthwhile. I think the committee who planned it did great in managing to organize all the surgeons to attend, as well as in managing how the workshop was executed.

For those who do not know the implements used in suturing. Take a look! ;D

Sorry, I took these pictures off the internet because it didn’t seem appropriate to whoop my camera out everywhere when I was wearing gloves. Moreover, all the tasks were hands on.

Crack! I have to get back to doing work. Will edit this again soon! xD Ta-ta for now!

Briggs RAOK

No one is posting again. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Anyhow, not forgetting my own usual Friday posts (Sorry. I only returned to my room past midnight after a full half-day out.) Just to make it brief since I WILL be attending a suturing session and Malaysian Leadership MSO bonding sesh tomorrow, I will only talk about RAOKs.

What is RAOK you ask?

It means ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ week; whereby a Residential Advisor assigns whoever signs up for the event, a person to make happy or perform an act of kindness to in the week. These acts of kindness can include anything! But is usually the quota-less provision of gifts and goodies.

After attending OCF from 7.15-11pm tonight. Surprisingly enough, in the transition from returning to my room with Michelle, then going up to her room to buy my tickets to attend a pig suturing session tomorrow and going back. o_o My RAOK somehow managed to actually leave my gifts on my doorstep. What a stroke of luck for my RAOK!

This is definitely one of the major UPS with being in a residential college. I miss the love.

Immediately after, I worked on my own RAOK. O_o For me, the guy was in the room playing some sort of movie. I was thankful for the noise considering my greeting involved me working with scissors, cellophane tape and string.

The week where I was meant to touch books but didn’t

Haylooo!

This week has been the most occupied I’ve ever been which had nothing to do with academia at all. Its been a blast though, such a blast. It was so great to see my whole family again, everyone travelling near and far for my cousins wedding, one of those few rare reunions which will also not be happening again in a while as no one beneath the newly weds among my cousins has a boyfriend/girlfriend oh…

Image

everyone having their eyes closed.. an asian wedding after all

It wasn’t just the family down of course..

Image

Whooohooo this is so dp worthy i swear

Anyways.. I saw so many awesome fishes during the wedding. My cousin’s part of this chinese society CYSM (Chinese Youth Society Melbourne) where he leads, trains and dances lion dance. I think the whole society went to the wedding. Oh my gosh all the fishes but only one stood out.. heheh

Yea but don’t get excited, I don’t think i’m anywhere near the fishing zone. There are occasions when I get to float by awesome school of fishes, but I don’t think I have the right bait. Maybe I’m still preparing the bait, or maybe the season just an’t right. Okay to be honest I do wish to have a fish jump up high, whoosh past my face and go whooooo. Omg dreamland… Oh yes that’s right that’s disney

i hope this gif works this time.. it’s a real good one (click on it if it doesn’t)

Anyhows, the break is coming to an end. Fun times come and go and this one is about to go. Can’t wait for the next. Though in between, here comes that massive heave and ho of exam madness.

I’ll see you all soon

Me promises

xoxox

God Bless

Juanlin 🙂

Sorry for the delay!

Hi, everyone!

I am so sorry for having not posted for the past 2 weeks. I would love to say it is due to other commitments but that is barely an excuse since the others have posted with atleast 2-3 sentences when they have probably been equally as busy.

Since I have been asked about what laminator I was looking at a couple of weeks back, I am proud to say it is cheap and affordable. Even for the single purchaser. http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplies/Presentation/Laminating-Machines/Pouch-Laminating/LOOL280 Look at that! Only about $16 bucks. I am hoping to get 100 sheets of laminating paper plastic to go with it as well. Doesn’t have to be too pricey. Hopefully it comes with a warranty too like all electronics.

One step closer to a cute art and crafts dream!

D: I am such a wishy washy character that maybe my financial aspirations will not be achieved anytime in the near future. :”(

Anyhow, so what have I been preoccupied with the past few weeks?

Kamen Riders. No, seriously. I missed out on the last 2 weeks of posting not because I did not have enough leisure time for it but it was more of me watching Kamen Rider Fourze. I am now on Kamen Rider Wizard. Good thing about Wizard is unlike the others, it is easier to control the pace I watch it at. It does not make it any less impressive compared to the other kamen rider series though.

I am so happy the pool is going to reopen next week! I need the exercise.

All I have felt like is a lumpy piece of inactive lipids the past few weeks and I hate the feeling.

xD Opted for atleast a short post this week!

My activity the past week has been:

Saturday: ASEAN Games 2013 Badminton photography volunteering

Sunday: ASEAN Games 2013 Badminton photography volunteering. For the first time EVER– I got to try one of those pretty photo booths things! 😀 Eat at Ghin Khao with Twin & Tsoi. Slept over at Twin’s apartment with Tsoi. Tsoi busy with her internship application and I, with my BusLaw weekly quiz and Urbanspoon restaurant research. Twin’s place is always so neat!

Monday: o_O Irked by how I wore the same clothes for 2/3 days in a row. Reunion with Mrs. Kircher and Mrs. Murphy with Tsoi, Melanie and Michelle! 😀

Tuesday: I have no idea what I did. I think I wasted time reading Shoujo mangas.

Wednesday: :O Long day out in the city! Attended an ASEAN Business Challenge 2013 volunteering briefing at Marriot. Lunch at Grain cafe with Twin & Tsoi. Watched Percy Jackson: The Sea Monsters with Jua joining us at Melbourne Central. Dinner at QV lousy service Shanghai restaurant. I am pretty sure the rest of us will be spamming this blog with pictures soon. I know I will as soon as I load pictures up).

Thursday: 😉 Woke up at noon. Went to Westpac, collected MUMSU cheque book from the mailbox. Studied Consumer Behavior Chapter 14 Psychographics: Values, Personality & Lifestyles in Matheson library.

Friday: Meeting with the lovelies. ❤ ASEAN Business Challenge 2013! Networking.
